Mr. Panek supervises one of PWO’s five trial teams and is a member of the Management Committee. He has tried in excess of 150 personal injury cases to verdict. Although Mr. Panek currently concentrates on insurance defense, he has proven equally adept in his forays into Plaintiff personal injury matters.

Representative Cases:

Although Mr. Panek handles mostly defense cases, he also represents plaintiffs.

Cook County, Illinois Mr. Panek represented a young female plaintiff that suffered a catastrophic injury on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle while driving the “S” curve of Lake Shore Drive. Mr. Panek argued that the City of Chicago used the wrong signs to designate the dangerous curve, and that the design of the motorcycle made it excessively dangerous while navigating the curve. As a result, Mr. Panek’s client received multi-million dollar awards from the City of Chicago and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.

Cook County, Illinois Mr. Panek handled an aviation case for a client whose family member was a passenger aboard an American Airlines flight which crashed in Roselawn, Indiana. Again, Mr. Panek secured a multi-million dollar settlement for his client.
