Coronel Mr. Enright represented the Defendant driver of a vehicle in which his three passengers aged: 45/female with 1 child, 33/male with no children, and 28/male with no children, were killed when they were struck broadside. The Defendant was making a left turn into the driveway of an apartment complex. He testified that the vehicle was struck by another vehicle that was speeding and did not have its lights on. That driver was arrested and charged with 3 Counts of Reckless Homicide but was acquitted and the evidence of his intoxication was excluded in the civil case. He previously settled and was not a Defendant in this case. Plaintiff asked the jury for $15,000,000.00 for the three deaths. The jury was deadlocked for 1 ½ days before a mistrial was declared. The case subsequently settled for the $40,000.00 policy limit.

Barbarek v. Kosta Mr. Enright represented Plaintiff, an interstate trucker who injured his neck and back in a rear-end collision on the Ohio Turnpike. Mr. Enright accepted the case from another attorney after the carrier made a “final settlement offer” of $100,000. The matter was settled at trial by Mr. Enright for $250,000.

McHenry County Mr. Enright represented the Defendant sellers of a 137 year-old farmhouse accused of failing to disclose serious material defects in the house and on the property. The jury not only found for the Defendants in the case against them, but found in favor of the Defendants on their counterclaim as Plaintiffs in a complaint alleging that the purchaser failed to re-pay a loan stemming from the transaction.

Sergovia v. Ruiz Mr. Enright represented one of two Defendant drivers causing a multi-car collision and permanent cervical disc injuries to Plaintiff Sergovia. The Plaintiff sought in excess of $70,000 in future medical expenses alone. The jury awarded a total of less than $10,000 to the Plaintiff.

Mason v. Washington Mr. Enright successfully defended a bad faith claim against an Illinois insurer accused of wrongfully failing to settle a personal injury matter. The Plaintiff had been a passenger ejected from the insured defendant’s vehicle resulting in permanent brain damage.
